'Fito' Extradited to the United States

Macías is transferred from a maximum-security prison in Guayaquil to the airport and handed to US officials, becoming the first Ecuadorian citizen ever extradited from Ecuador to face US justice. He was indicted in Brooklyn federal court in April on seven counts of drug trafficking and gun smuggling, and pleads not guilty at arraignment.
