Wazalendo Dislodge AFC/M23 From Rutoboko and Kibahemula in Masisi

Wazalendo fighters dislodged AFC/M23 rebels from Rutoboko and recovered control of Kibahemula, both villages in Masisi's Nyamaboko I grouping, on Sept 8 — a localized counteroffensive success even as AFC/M23 retained the nearby Humura commercial center it captured Sept 6-7. Nyamaboko I sits on a critical axis linking Masisi and Walikale territories. No precise human or material toll has been established for the clashes, and relative calm was reported in the area by Sept 9, though troop movements continued to unsettle the civilian population.
