Kagame Accuses DRC of Arming and Integrating FDLR Fighters

At the same Kigali news conference, President Kagame said Congolese authorities "are arming the FDLR and integrating its members into their own forces," citing testimony from former FDLR fighters as evidence, and said Rwanda's continued military involvement in eastern DRC was necessary self-defense: "if this problem is not resolved, it is natural for Rwanda to remain involved."
