Prisoner Exchange Held as Wazalendo-M23 Clash Near Kavumu

The ICRC facilitated the transfer of 15 DRC-held M23 prisoners from Beni to M23-controlled Rutshuru, a Doha peace process mechanism that had stalled since April, even as M23 expelled a Congolese government member from the joint ceasefire verification mechanism and Wazalendo fighters clashed with M23 near Kavumu airport, north of Bukavu.
