India Cabinet Approves $22B Green Energy Corridor to Transmit 135 GW of Renewables

The Indian Union Cabinet approved the ₹1.86 lakh crore (~$22 billion) Green Energy Corridor project — one of the world's largest grid-expansion investments. The project builds high-voltage transmission infrastructure to carry 135 GW of renewable energy from generation hubs to consumption centres, directly supporting India's 500 GW non-fossil capacity target by 2030.
