Sunraycer Renewables Closes $901M Financing for 479.5 MW Solar + 473 MWh BESS in Texas
Sunraycer Renewables closed a $901 million project financing package with MUFG Bank, Ally Bank, Nomura Securities International, Nord/LB, and Societe Generale to build 479.5 MW of solar generation paired with 236.5 MW (473 MWh) of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across three Texas projects: Eagle Springs, Lupinus 1, and Lupinus 2. Construction on all three began in late 2025, with Eagle Springs expected to come online in late 2026. The deal represents Sunraycer's second portfolio financing in 12 months, bringing total capital raised to approximately $1.6 billion. Texas leads the US in utility-scale solar additions, and integrated solar-plus-storage projects are the fastest-growing segment of new US power capacity as grid operators prioritize dispatchable clean energy.
