Green Finance Week Asia 2026 Concludes in Singapore, Mobilizing Institutional Capital for Asia's Net-Zero Transition
Green Finance Week: Asia 2026 concluded May 13 at Singapore's Four Points by Sheraton Riverview, convening 100+ decision-makers and 25+ speakers from institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, development banks, and governments to accelerate Asia's clean energy transition. Key sessions addressed barriers to institutional climate finance in emerging Asian markets, regional grid interconnection for renewable energy, and ESG investment frameworks. Verdant Energy was recognized as Clean Energy Investor of the Year. Knowledge partners included the Singapore Green Finance Centre (SGFC) and Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC). Singapore's role as Asia's green finance hub has grown significantly: Singapore-based green bond issuance rose 38% in 2025, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore has committed $2 billion to catalyze private green finance across Southeast Asia. The event comes as Asia-Pacific now accounts for over half of global clean energy investment, led by China, India, Japan, and South Korea.
