CXMT Posts 874% H1 2026 Revenue Growth, Closing the Profitability Gap on Micron

| China Tech

ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) grew H1 2026 revenue 874% year-over-year to 150.3 billion yuan (~$22.4B) with a 51.6% net profit margin, a Motley Fool analysis published September 5 found — a far steeper growth rate than Micron's 203% YoY gain over the same period, though Micron's 63% net margin still leads. CXMT's market capitalization has climbed to roughly $582.5 billion, up about 20% since its blockbuster July 2026 Shanghai STAR Market debut. The Hefei-based DRAM maker now holds an estimated 11% of the global DRAM market — fourth place behind Samsung (39%), SK Hynix (26%), and Micron (25%) — with analysts projecting it could reach 15% share by 2030. CXMT still trails the leaders by two to three process generations in DRAM technology and has so far competed mainly at the lower end of the market, but plans to begin producing stacked high-bandwidth-memory (HBM) chips for AI applications starting in late 2026, a move that would put it in direct competition with Micron, Samsung, and SK Hynix in the AI memory segment.
