Spain Requests €32M in EU Emergency Migration Funds
Nearly a month after the crisis began, and after sustained pressure from Brussels, Spain's government formally requested more than €32 million in EU emergency aid drawn from the FAMI (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund) and the IGFV (Borders and Visa Instrument) to help cover Ceuta's reception, triage and border-management costs. The request came the same day Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez convened Spain's National Security Council on the crisis.
