Two Alleged Unión Tepito Gunmen Arrested for Killing 'El Tripa' and His Wife

SSC officers arrested Aitzan Adrián 'N', 19, and Néstor 'N', 24 — identified as La Unión Tepito members — in the Tabacalera neighborhood after observing them exchanging bags of suspected marijuana and cocaine near Ezequiel Montes and Ignacio Mariscal streets; a search also turned up the truck allegedly used in the September 6 killing of Gerardo Hernández ('El Tripa') and his wife Carla Aguiñaga outside 'El Chilaquil's' wake in San Rafael. The arrests came in the same week the SSC and Fiscalía reported roughly 50 combined Unión Tepito and Anti-Unión Tepito members detained during August as authorities pressed their Centro Histórico crackdown.
