Bradley Creek Fire: North Okanagan Cancels State of Local Emergency

The Regional District of North Okanagan cancelled its State of Local Emergency and rescinded the evacuation alert for properties in Electoral Area B tied to the Bradley Creek fire, effective Aug 24, acting on a recommendation from the BC Wildfire Service. The ~2,650-hectare fire near Vernon has been held since Aug 9. RDNO reminded residents that wildfire risk remains province-wide and encouraged continued use of the Alertable app for emergency notifications.
