BYD Launches Da Han Flagship Sedan: 1,008 km Range, 2nd-Gen Blade Battery Flash Charging

BYD officially launched the Da Han, its most luxurious sedan to date, at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 22, 2026 (presales opened August 21), pricing from ¥249,900 (~US$37,170). All variants use a 102 kWh second-generation Blade Battery (LFP chemistry) rated for up to 1,008 km CLTC range, and support BYD's Flash Charging technology — 10-70% in 5 minutes and 10-97% in 9 minutes, requiring BYD's new high-power charging stations. The 5.26-meter sedan offers up to 570 kW combined dual-motor output, rear-wheel steering, and dual-chamber air suspension. The launch underscores LFP's continued push into flagship/premium segments long assumed to require higher-energy-density NMC chemistry.
