Encinas Releases SEDENA Documents Showing Disappeared Student Was Military Intelligence Asset

Alejandro Encinas, former head of the Ayotzinapa Truth Commission and now Mexico's ambassador to the OAS, publicly released Defense Ministry documents showing that Julio César López Patolzin — one of the 43 disappeared students — had been assigned since June 2014 as a military intelligence asset ('Órgano de Búsqueda de Información') embedded within the Ayotzinapa Rural Normal School, with activity reports dated September 26, 2014 and communications with superior officers. The revelation directly contradicts the CNDH's July 9 recommendation, which dismissed infiltration claims by asserting military personnel could lawfully enroll as students. Families' lawyers and rights organizations cited the documents as further evidence of undisclosed military knowledge of the events.
