National Popular Assembly at Ayotzinapa School Defines Escalation Strategy

| Ayotzinapa

Families of the 43 convened a National Popular Assembly at the Raúl Isidro Burgos Rural Normal School in Tixtla, Guerrero, inviting social organizations and collectives from across Mexico. The assembly was called to define escalation strategy amid what Tlachinollan described as the case being in 'an enormous deadlock.' The court-ordered Truth Commission (COVAJ) remained non-functional — the CNDH and FGR had both refused to designate representatives — while the 853 military intelligence files ordered by a federal court remained undelivered.
