139th Global Action: Families Denounce Five Months Without Meeting Sheinbaum; Call National Assembly

| Ayotzinapa

On the 139th monthly global action day for Ayotzinapa, parents, students, and organizations held a demonstration in Mexico City. Families publicly accused the Sheinbaum administration of allowing negotiations to stall: five full months had elapsed since their last formal meeting with the President in November 2025, with no new meeting convened and no formal written response to the families' demands. Key demands reiterated: (1) return of GIEI-linked international experts to Mexico under agreed conditions; (2) delivery of the court-ordered 853 military intelligence dossiers from SEDENA; (3) independent investigation of Army communications during the transfer of 17 students on the night of September 26, 2014. Families also announced a National Popular Assembly for May 9 at the Ayotzinapa school to define future mobilization strategy for the coming months.
