Bone Fragment in Bag Found in San Juan River

| Ayotzinapa

A plastic bag was 'discovered' in the San Juan River containing a bone fragment. The government claimed this was part of the incinerated remains. The Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (EAAF) later identified DNA from this fragment as belonging to Alexander Mora Venancio, becoming one of only three students identified. However, the GIEI determined the bag had been planted there by investigators.
