Municipal Police Open Fire on Students

Iguala municipal police blocked buses and opened fire at three separate locations: Juan N. Álvarez Street, Periférico Norte, and Pueblo Viejo neighborhood. Police from both Iguala and Cocula municipalities participated. Students Aldo Gutiérrez Solano, Julio César Mondragón (whose face was later found flayed), Daniel Solís Gallardo, Julio César Ramírez Nava, Víctor Manuel Lugo Ortiz, and Blanca Montiel Sánchez were among those killed on the night.
