Serbia Signs Artemis Accords — 69th Nation to Join

Serbia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić signed the Artemis Accords on behalf of the Republic of Serbia on July 16, 2026, during a ceremony at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson and State Department Assistant Secretary Wesley Brooks witnessed the signing, which made Serbia the 69th nation to join the U.S.-led framework for peaceful and transparent space exploration. Anderson noted Serbia's historical ties to NASA, citing Serbian-American engineer Milojko "Mike" Vučelić's role in bringing the Apollo 13 crew safely home.
