Orion reached its farthest point from Earth: 268,563 miles (432,210 km), setting a distance record for any spacecraft designed to carry humans — surpassing the Apollo 13 record. The spacecraft had been in a Distant Retrograde Orbit around the Moon for six days at this point. All systems performed nominally in the deep-space radiation environment.
