Sheinbaum Tours AIFA–Pachuca Train Line, Reports 36% Progress

| AMLO (2018–2024)

President Claudia Sheinbaum toured construction of the AIFA–Pachuca commuter rail line — an extension of AMLO's flagship Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) megaproject — and reported the 58-km electric double-track route was 36% physically complete, with more than 168,000 domestically manufactured concrete railway sleepers staged at work sites. SEDENA is overseeing construction, which is entering the track-laying, signaling, fiber-optic and electrification phase. Sheinbaum reaffirmed a 2027 completion target for the line, which will connect AIFA to Pachuca, Hidalgo.
