AMLO Inaugurated as 58th President

Andrés Manuel López Obrador was inaugurated at the Legislative Palace of San Lázaro, becoming Mexico's 58th president. In his speech he denounced neoliberalism as 'a disaster and a calamity' and announced the 'Fourth Transformation' of Mexico — invoking Independence, the Reform War, and the Revolution as the three prior transformations. He immediately abolished the Presidential General Staff and opened Los Pinos to the public as a cultural center.
