Austria-Hungary Delivers Ultimatum to Serbia

| World War I

Austria-Hungary delivered a deliberately harsh ten-point ultimatum to Serbia, demanding suppression of anti-Austrian organizations, dismissal of designated officials, and Austro-Hungarian participation in Serbia's internal investigations. The ultimatum was designed to be unacceptable. Serbia accepted most terms but rejected the demand for Austro-Hungarian participation in legal proceedings, prompting Austria to declare the response unsatisfactory.
