Sweden Thrash Ukraine 3–0 (Gyökeres Hat-trick); Poland Beat Albania 2–1 — Path B Finals Set

Both UEFA Path B World Cup playoff semifinals produced decisive results on March 26. Sweden demolished Ukraine 3–0 in Valencia as Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres scored a stunning hat-trick to send Sweden into the Path B final. Poland defeated Albania 2–1 in Warsaw to also advance. Sweden and Poland meet on March 31 in Solna (Friends Arena) for the Path B World Cup berth. Ukraine — who had played much of their qualifying campaign as a war-displaced nation — are eliminated from World Cup contention.
