Mueller Report Released — Russia Interference Confirmed; 10 Obstruction Instances Documented
Special Counsel Robert Mueller's 448-page report, released publicly on April 18, 2019, found that Russia had systematically interfered in the 2016 election 'in sweeping and systematic fashion' to benefit Trump, but did not establish a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. The report documented 10 potential instances of obstruction of justice by Trump, but Mueller declined to charge a sitting president per longstanding DOJ policy. AG Barr's summary characterization was later found by a judge to be misleading.
