Russian 'Mass Strike' Hits Odesa Region, Kills 1, Damages Hotel, Medical Facility and Grain Storage

Russia launched a mass overnight strike on southern Odesa Oblast into September 27 using Shahed-type and Gerbera/Parodiya decoy drones alongside glide bombs, part of a nationwide barrage of 170 attack drones (76 jet-powered), of which Ukrainian air defenses downed or suppressed 147. Odesa Oblast Governor Oleh Kiper said the strike killed one person and injured two, and damaged a residential building, a medical facility, a hotel, a retail store and a grain storage facility; a production facility and warehouse also caught fire. More than 140 State Emergency Service personnel and five National Guard firefighting crews responded. The Kyiv Independent tallied 14 killed and 57 injured nationwide over the preceding 24 hours, with Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Donetsk oblasts also hit hard.
