Russian Ballistic Missile Barrage Kills 8, Wounds 37 Nationwide; Interpipe Plant in Dnipro Halted

Russian forces launched a combined ballistic and cruise missile barrage overnight into September 22, killing at least 8 people and wounding 37 across Ukraine. The heaviest single strike hit the Interpipe steel and railway-products plant in Dnipro with ballistic missiles, killing 4 employees and forcing the 9,500-worker manufacturer to halt production; Interpipe said the strike 'damaged key production equipment and infrastructure.' Russian forces also struck industrial facilities in Kryvyi Rih and Pavlohrad the same night. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast recorded the highest regional toll at 5 killed and 7 wounded; Donetsk Oblast reported 1 killed and 11 wounded; Zaporizhzhia Oblast 1 killed and 9 wounded; Kharkiv Oblast 1 killed and 1 wounded; Kherson Oblast 6 wounded; and Kyiv 3 wounded. Fires were also reported in Zhytomyr, Odesa, and Kirovohrad oblasts. The attack package included Onyx anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles, 4 Kalibr cruise missiles, 8 Banderol/Dan-T weapons, and 212 drones; Ukraine's Air Force said it downed or suppressed 186 of the aerial targets.
