Russian Drone Hits Kyiv-Warsaw Train Near Yahodyn Border Crossing With Poland

Russian forces struck near the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing on Ukraine's western border with Poland on the morning of September 13, damaging a filling station and hitting the locomotive of a passenger train traveling from Kyiv to Warsaw roughly 2 kilometers from the Polish border. No injuries or fatalities were reported on either side of the border; a monitoring group had warned the train crew of the drone threat in advance, and falling drone debris ignited a fire at a nearby gas station and several parked trucks. Border operations were temporarily suspended during the air raid alert. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called the strike, within 2km of EU/NATO territory, Russian terror 'knocking directly at the doors of the EU and NATO.' Poland's interior ministry said no injuries occurred on the Polish side.
