Russia resumed drone attacks on Kyiv in daytime hours on September 9, killing 1 person and injuring at least 16, including two children aged 15 and 16, and damaging residential buildings across the capital. A Russian drone struck a 24-story residential building in the Darnytskyi district at around 8 a.m. local time, hitting the structure at the 11th and 12th floors and sparking a fire on the 12th floor that tore through interior walls; five people were injured in the building, three hospitalized, and rescuers evacuated 23 residents.
