Russian Iskander-Kh31-Drone Barrage Hits Five Oblasts, Knocks Out Power in Chernihiv Region

| Ukraine

Russian forces launched an overnight barrage of one Iskander-M ballistic missile, one Kh-31P anti-radar missile, and around 150 Shahed-type, Gerbera, and Parodiya drones into August 25. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted roughly 124 of the drones; the remainder struck 17 locations, damaging residential, logistics, agricultural, and railway infrastructure across Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. A power facility was hit in Chernihiv district and the city of Slavutych, cutting electricity to more than 30,000 subscribers; grid operator Ukrenergo also reported outages in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Sumy oblasts. Energy crews said restoration work would begin once the security situation allowed.
