Russian 'Banderol' Drone Double-Tap Strike on Zhytomyr Police HQ Kills 3, Injures 53

| Ukraine

Russian forces struck the Main Directorate of the National Police headquarters in Zhytomyr Oblast at 18:34 with jet-powered Banderol-type (S8000) loitering munitions in a double-tap attack, killing 3 people — including named officers Captain Artem Zubchuk and Lieutenant Colonel Yuliia Yevdokymova — and injuring 53. The strike sparked a fire on the roof and fourth floor of the building. It was the second major Russian attack on Zhytomyr in roughly ten days, following a similar drone strike on August 9. Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi and First Deputy Head of the National Police Maksym Tsutskiridze condemned the attack as deliberate targeting of police and emergency responders.
