Ukraine Launches 620-Drone Assault on Moscow for Second Consecutive Night

| Ukraine

Ukraine launched more than 620 drones at Moscow and the surrounding region overnight into August 18 — its largest such attack in years and a second consecutive night of large-scale aerial retaliation. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said 180-197 drones were shot down over Moscow Oblast. At least 3 people, including a 10-year-old girl in Ramensky who suffered shrapnel injuries when a drone crashed into a private home, were injured; roughly 5,000 residents lost power. A Wildberries warehouse, a residential building in Pavlovsky Posad, an aluminum plant, and the Globus shopping center in Kolomna were damaged. Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky airports suspended flights.
