Ukrainian Drones Knock Out 77% of Ryazan Refinery's Crude Capacity, Strike Rostov Airfield

Ukrainian FP-1 drones struck the Rosneft-owned Ryazan oil refinery on the morning of September 6, hitting the ELOU-AVT-6 and AVT-3 primary crude-distillation units — together accounting for more than 77% of the refinery's roughly 17-million-ton annual processing capacity — and starting a fire, according to Ukraine's General Staff and defense outlet Militarnyi. The strike occurred during the temporary pause on capital strikes tied to the Witkoff-Kushner shuttle diplomacy, underscoring that the truce applied only to Moscow and Kyiv. The same overnight operation also struck the Rostov-on-Don military airfield and three Russian air-defense assets.
