Russian Drone Strikes Residential Building in Central Chernihiv on Independence Day, Injuring 20

A Russian Geran-5 jet-powered drone struck a 9-story residential building in central Chernihiv around midday on August 24, injuring at least 20 people including 3 children, in the third wave of Russian strikes on the city that day. A fire broke out on the building's ground floor. Chernihiv Oblast Governor Viacheslav Chaus called it a 'cynical strike by Russian terrorists on a residential building in Chernihiv — right in the middle of the day, on Independence Day.'
