Russian Double-Strike Drones Kill Mother and 9-Year-Old Son in Sumy Region's Buryn

Russian forces struck a private residential house in the Buryn community, Sumy region, with two jet-powered attack UAVs early on August 14. A 29-year-old woman and her 9-year-old son were killed at the scene; four others — including the boy's father and grandmother — were hospitalized with severe burns. The strike caused extensive structural damage and a fire. Across the wider Sumy region over the preceding 24 hours, Russian forces launched 39 attacks on 28 settlements using guided aerial bombs, attack drones, FPV drones, artillery, mortars, and rocket systems, killing one more person and injuring five others.
