Russia's Largest Multi-Weapon Air Attack: 731 Missiles & Drones — Kyiv Apartment Block Demolished, 7 Killed, 33 Injured

| Ukraine War

Russia launched its most diverse aerial attack package of the war on the night of May 13–14, 2026: 731 total aerial assets including 675 Shahed-type UAVs, 35 Kh-101 cruise missiles, 18 Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and 3 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles — the latter marking the rare simultaneous use of hypersonic, cruise, and ballistic platforms in one wave. Ukraine's air defenses destroyed 41 missiles and 652 drones out of the total wave. In Kyiv, 6 city districts and 6 Kyiv region districts were struck — a residential apartment block was demolished, killing at least 7 people, with 11 rescued from the rubble. At least 33 were injured across the capital including a 2-month-old infant. Other cities struck included Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Bila Tserkva, and Kremenchuk. In the broader 30-hour bombardment spanning May 13–14, Zelensky reported more than 1,560 total drones and missiles launched — the largest sustained aerial campaign of the war. Russia used Gerbera, Italmas, and Banderol loitering munitions as well as Parodiya decoy drones in the strike package. Missiles were fired from Lipetsk, Bryansk, Kursk, and Vologda oblasts; drones launched from Bryansk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and occupied Crimea.
