170+ Combat Engagements Across Frontline — Kharkiv and Pokrovsk Directions Most Active
Ukraine's General Staff reported 170 combat engagements since the start of May 13, 2026 — one of the highest daily counts since the ceasefire collapsed. The fighting was concentrated in two main operational directions: In the South Slobozhansky/Kharkiv direction, clashes were reported near Vovchansk, Starytsya, Krasne Pershe, Zelene, Ternova, Petro-Ivanivka, Myrove, Symynivka, Prylipka, and Lyman. In the Pokrovsk direction, combat was ongoing near Toretske, Bilytske, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Muravka, and Novopidhorodnie. Geolocated footage confirmed Russian advances in the Sotnytskyi Kozachok area northwest of Kharkiv and northeast of Orikhovo-Vasylivka near the E40 highway. The Kerch Bridge (Crimea Bridge) was also closed to traffic after explosions and drone activity were reported in occupied Crimea overnight. Aurora 26, a NATO exercise involving 18,000 troops from 11 allies and Ukraine, concluded on May 13 — focusing on FPV drones, reconnaissance UAVs, and drone interception at Swedish training grounds and Gotland island.
