Ukraine Strikes Orsknefteorgsintez Refinery (1,500 km) and Perm Region — Among Deepest Drone Strikes of War

| Ukraine War

Ukraine's General Staff confirmed strikes on April 29–30 against the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in Orsk, Orenburg region — approximately 1,500 km from Ukrainian territory — marking one of the deepest long-range drone strikes of the entire war. The Orsknefteorgsintez plant processes 6.6 million tons of oil annually, producing gasoline, diesel, and aviation kerosene that supplies Russian military operations. Fires were confirmed on the plant's territory. Simultaneously, Ukraine struck oil pipeline facilities in the Perm region (also approximately 1,500 km from Ukraine), with black smoke seen over the area. Kyiv Post reported Ukraine struck Perm twice within 24 hours. The General Staff also confirmed destruction of two Russian military helicopters (Mi-28 and Mi-17) in the Babki area of Voronezh region, and a Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system near Oleksandrivka in occupied Zaporizhzhia. The deep strikes are part of Ukraine's sustained strategic campaign: ISW documented at least 41 strikes against Russian military assets and 18 strikes against Russian oil infrastructure across 19 Russian federal subjects throughout April 2026. Ukraine's long-range drone capability now operates at roughly one deep-Russia strike per day.
