Kerch Bridge Partially Destroyed

A major explosion — attributed to Ukraine — partially destroyed the Kerch Bridge (also called Crimea Bridge), the 19km span connecting Russia to occupied Crimea. The truck-bomb attack collapsed two road spans and set fuel tanker cars ablaze. Russia blamed Ukraine. It was a major symbolic and logistical blow; the bridge was Putin's personal project and had been inaugurated in 2018.
