Lafayette Square Cleared for Trump Church Photo Op
Law enforcement using tear gas, batons, and flash grenades clear peaceful protesters from Lafayette Square in front of the White House so Trump can walk to St. John's Church holding a Bible. The move draws widespread condemnation, including from Defense Secretary Esper, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Milley (who later publicly apologizes for appearing in the walk), and former Defense Secretary Mattis.
