Taiwan MND Detects 2 PLA Aircraft Sorties, 8 PLAN Vessels

Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense detected 2 sorties of PLA aircraft and 8 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan on March 21. One of the 2 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's eastern ADIZ. ROC Armed Forces monitored the situation. Air activity was notably low — part of the post-NPC adjustment period in which PLA aerial pressure has remained well below 2024–2025 monthly averages. Naval vessel presence remained consistent, signaling sustained gray-zone maritime activity.
