RSF Drones Strike Umm Alila Fuel Depot Near Wad Madani; Army Reports Shootdown in North Kordofan

Rapid Support Forces drones struck the Umm Alila fuel depot in Abu Haraz, about 20 km northeast of Wad Madani in El Gezira, on September 27, 2026, shortly after dawn prayers. Residents reported several explosions and videos showed flames across parts of the facility, which stores and distributes petrol and diesel across the state, as Civil Defence teams worked to contain the blaze. Separately, the Sudanese army said it shot down a long-range RSF drone in North Kordofan while its warplanes struck at least three sites.
