RSF Drone Strikes Kill 23 Civilians Across El Obeid Neighborhoods

RSF drones struck multiple neighborhoods of El Obeid, the SAF-held capital of North Kordofan, overnight June 10–11, 2026, in one of the deadliest single bombardments of the city to date. Initial reports of 16 dead rose as reporting continued, with Xinhua, Radio Tamazuj, and Radio Dabanga converging on a toll of 23 civilians killed and 19+ injured. Targets included the Al-Matar and Al-Muwazafin neighborhoods, areas near the SAF 5th Infantry Division headquarters, a funeral/mourning gathering, and a food-supply truck at the city entrance. The strike was part of a broader weekly toll compiled by the Emergency Lawyers Group of at least 30 civilians and 5 soldiers killed across Sudan that week, including incidents in Dilling, Sudri, Kadugli, Khartoum North, and Omdurman.
