Starship Flight 14 Slips Again, Now Targeting September 28

SpaceX announced Sept 17, 2026 that Starship Flight 14 — the program's first attempt at reaching full orbital velocity and deploying operational Starlink V3 satellites — has slipped again, from the previously targeted Sept 22 to no earlier than Sept 28, pending regulatory approval. The company gave no explanation for the latest six-day delay, the third schedule change in as many weeks. The 75-minute launch window remains set to open at 7:15 a.m. CT (8:15 a.m. EDT) from Starbase, Texas. Booster 21 and Ship 41 have completed their static-fire campaigns (B21's 33-engine test Aug 28; Ship 41's six-engine test Aug 21) and remain in final Starbase checkout ahead of stacking.
