Transporter-16 Second Scrub: Boat in Keep-Out Zone
SpaceX's second launch attempt for the Transporter-16 rideshare mission was scrubbed when a boat entered the keep-out zone around SLC-4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base. The mission — carrying 119 payloads to Sun-synchronous orbit aboard a Falcon 9 with booster B1081 on its 23rd flight — was aborted for range safety. The incident highlights the operational challenges of managing maritime exclusion zones during launch windows off the California coast. The mission was pushed further, ultimately to late March 2026.
