CRS-1 — First Operational ISS Cargo Mission

SpaceX launched the first operational Commercial Resupply Services mission, delivering 525 kg of pressurized cargo. One Merlin engine shut down at T+79s (engine-out), but Falcon 9 successfully reached orbit. This formally began the $1.6B CRS-1 contract execution and established Dragon as the ISS resupply workhorse.
