SNA Kills 21 Al-Shabaab Fighters in Bay Region Daynuunay Engagement

After Al-Shabaab launched an assault on SNA positions in Daynuunay — a strategic node on the Baidoa–Mogadishu road corridor in Bay Region — SNA forces engaged and killed 21 militants, wounding more than 10 others. The Somali Ministry of Defence described Daynuunay as strategically critical due to its position along the main overland supply route connecting Mogadishu to Southwest State.
