Day 774: Gunmen Kill One, Wound Another at Beer Store in Las Estancias, Culiacán

Armed men arrived at a beer store at the corner of Boulevard Las Torres and Calle Andrea, in the Las Estancias sector of Bugambilias, southwest Culiacán, at approximately 6:20 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2026, and opened fire on the people inside before fleeing. Adrián 'N', about 27, who reportedly worked at the establishment, was mortally wounded; he managed to walk roughly 200 meters before collapsing near a nail salon and died from his injuries. A second man, 26, was struck in the extremities and face and underwent surgery; hospital officials described his condition as delicate in the following days. Mexican Army and Navy personnel secured the scene before state investigative police processed evidence.
