| Sinaloa Split

Monday, July 13, 2026 brought five separate attacks across Culiacán and Navolato, leaving six people dead. Armed men broke into an auto-electrical/tire workshop in the Tierra y Libertad neighborhood of Culiacán and opened fire on brothers working there, killing two; two additional siblings from the same family — missing since June — were separately found dead in Mazatlán. A woman was shot dead in the Tierra Blanca neighborhood of Culiacán, officially logged by the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) as a feminicide — the fourth recorded in Sinaloa in July alone. Additional homicides were recorded in the 4 de Marzo, Aquiles Serdán and Lomas del Boulevard neighborhoods of Culiacán. In Navolato, a man died in hospital and another was wounded after gunmen opened fire on two men on Highway 50 near the central bus terminal in Villa Juárez during the afternoon-evening of July 13. The FGE's official daily count logged four homicide investigation files plus one feminicide file for the day.
