ICE Reissues $10 Million Reward for Los Chapitos Leader Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Embassy in Mexico on April 14, 2026 formally reiterated and amplified the $10 million reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, known as 'El Chapito,' the eldest surviving son of Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán and co-leader of the Chapitos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel. His last known location is Culiacán, Sinaloa. He faces federal charges in the United States including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances (fentanyl and methamphetamine), continuing criminal enterprise, and money laundering. The reward announcement came amid intensified U.S. enforcement against the Sinaloa Cartel under the Trump administration's narco-terrorism strategy, and in the same week as the Lancaster/Salazar family arrests for Sinaloa-linked trafficking.
