9/11 Memorial & Museum Launches Digital Learning Experience Ahead of 25th Anniversary

| 9/11

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum launched its Anniversary Digital Learning Experience for the 25th-anniversary generation, as roughly one-third of Americans alive today were either too young to remember the September 11 attacks or had not yet been born. The free program includes a 30-minute film with first-person accounts of the attacks and their aftermath plus a live chat with Museum staff, interpreted in American Sign Language with captioning, audio description, transcripts, and Spanish subtitles. The film becomes available to registered classrooms on September 11, 2026. The Museum said the program has already reached more than four million students across every U.S. state and 80 countries and territories, with a goal of reaching 20 million students by the 25th anniversary — part of the Memorial's broader push to expand 9/11 education, alongside the 'Never Forget Fund' campaign launched in June 2026.
